There is a large system off the west coast, but it is a few days out from reaching CO if it heads our way. Otherwise, sunny skies and warm weather will carry us through the weekend!
Is winter already over? I HOPE NOT!

POW song-of-the-day.
Avalanche danger was down today to 3 out of 5 by the CAIC as a product of back to back days of warm weather. However, large slides breaking from low layers is always a possibility and will remain that way the entire season! Small slides may instigate large slabs that can be extremely dangerous and have low run-outs.
Always keep it safe and coutious!

Looks like one more day of blue-skies before we have a chance for more snow! This next system is difficult to read, but has potential for significant snowfall. I have my fingers crossed and I am not giving up on winter yet.
I will be keeping an eye on the radar and update my forecast soon!

Some of my best footage yet!
I was hoping for clear skies today, but it looks like the clouds cover will linger until this afternoon. Tomorrow should be the blue-bird day we all have been waiting for! It would be nice to see some sun!
There is nothing to forecast in terms of snowfall for this week yet, but I am hopeful La Nina will continue with some freshies through April!
Looks to be a warm sunny week ahead!

POW song-of-the-day.
Avalanche danger has dropped today, rated only 3 our of 5 by the CAIC. Natural avalanches are unlikely today, but human triggering slides is more than a possibility. There are large layers within the snowpack causing both large and small slabs that could step down and break near the ground!
Never ski alone and carry the proper gear!

POW song-of-the-day.
The CAIC has rated today a 4 out of 5! The deeper layers of the snowpack are still very weak and large slides are possible. Although things on top seem safe, under layers are looming with danger. Loose snow is also a danger on steeper slopes! This season is traitorous!
Ski with a friend AND all of the right equipment!
